Hotel Management Trainee Internship

Hotel Administration Procedures:
- Prepare and maintain files, reports, letters, memorandums and other relevant business documentation
- Ensure a daily logbook for the outlet is maintained with information as to covers, revenues,
special events, quest praise and complaints and other notes happenings. The logbook is left
every night for F&B manger’s information & signature
Communication/General roles:
- Attend and conduct departmental, and Interdepartmental meetings
- Conduct daily pre-meal meeting with dining Room associates to keep them informed of updates, new directions, policies and procedures and daily menu items
- Develop Communication/ Administration Systems and Procedure
Guest Service/Sales with Client Management Jobs:
- Manage Guest Service
- Manage the Sales and Promotion of Products and Services
- Guest Service/ Relations
- Sell and Promote Products and Services
Hotel Menu Knowledge: Culinary and Food and Beverage Jobs
- Menu
- Good command of the food products used in the restaurant and very sound menu knowledge.
- Consult with the outlet and Executive chef, regarding menu planning and delivery of service
- Sound knowledge & understanding of Food Preparation Standard & Procedure.
- Continually examine goods for quality and quantity
Hotel Finance Management Roles:
- POS. systems (Captain orders, shift change control of cash)
- Manage Financial Matters
Take part in Strategic Planning and Development:
- Take part in Strategic Planning and Development
- Assist with the Planning and implementation of sales & Marketing Strategies
- Consider Economic/Political Social Issues Relevant to the Department
- Consider Tourism Issues Relevant to the Department
Administration:
- Deal all administrative jobs in the Food and Beverage Office.
- Preparing forms and reports which are to be sent to the Corporate / Area Food and Beverage Department.
- Conducted various Food and Beverage meetings with Executive Chef
REQUIREMENTS
- Very good English skills (written & verbal)
- Computer operation and familiarity with some software packages, including Spreadsheet programs
- Good leadership skills / good training skills / strong organization skills
- Open minded and outgoing personality
